By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Medium prawns, Kadai masala Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Kadai Prawns 20-25 Medium prawns peeled and deveined 2 tablespoons Kadai masala 2 tablespoons Oil 2 Medium onion chopped 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 Large tomato chopped 1/2 cup Tomato puree to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Coriander powder 1/2 tablespoon Red chilli powder 1 1/2 tablespoons Cashewnut-melon seed paste 1/2 teaspoon Dried fenugreek leaves powder 1/2 Medium green capsicum cut into squares 1/2 Medium onion diced and layers separated 1 Medium tomato diced to garnish Fresh coriander leaves Method Heat oil in a non-stick kadai, add onions and sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till raw smells disappear. Add chopped tomatoes and tomato puree, mix well and saute till the oil separates. Add salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add 1 cup water, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add cashewnut-melon seed paste, mix well and cook for a minute. Add prawns, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add dried fenugreek leaves powder and mix well. Add capsicum, onion and tomato, and mix well. Add kadai masala, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
