Ingredients 

  • 15-20 garlic cloves
  • ½ teaspoon oil
  • 1 cup dry coconut slices
  • 3-4 dried red chillies
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • ½ teaspoon tamarind pulp
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté well. Transfer in a bowl.
  2. In the same pan, add coconut and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Transfer in the same bowl and cool to room temperature.
  3. Place coconut and garlic in a grinder jar alongwith red chillies, red chilli powder, sesame seeds, coriander powder, tamarind pulp and salt. Grind into a coarse powder.
  4. Serve.
