Lebanese Pilaf Lebanese people like their pilaf simple embellished with pine nuts and sultanas. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Mar 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Rice, Butter Cuisine Lebanese Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Lebanese Pilaf 1½ cups Rice soaked and drained 1 tablespoon Butter ½ cup Vermicelli roasted and crushed 2 tablespoons Pine nuts(chilgoza) 2 tablespoons Sultanas to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 3 cups Vegetable stock for garnishing Fresh parsley sprig Method Heat butter in a small deep non-stick pan. Add vermicelli and sauté for 1 minute. Add pine nuts and sultanas and sauté for 30 seconds. Add rice, mix and cook for 1 minute. Add salt and crushed peppercorns and mix. Add vegetable stock, mix, cover and cook till rice is done.
