By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Jul 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Brown bread , Macaroni Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Mac n Cheese Sandwich 8 slices Brown bread 2 cups Macaroni , boiled 50 grams Processed cheese 2 tablespo as required Butter 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) 2 1/2 cups Milk to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1/4 cup Chopped mixed capsicums (red and green) , chopped 3-4 tablespoons Corn kernels , boiled to serve Tomato ketchup Method Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a non-stick pan. Add flour and sauté for 1 minute without letting the colour change. Add milk, mix till smooth and cook till the mixture thickens. Grate in cheese, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring continuously. Add salt, crushed peppercorns, mixed capsicums, corn kernels and mix well. Add macaroni, mix and cook for 1-2 minutes. Adjust salt and mix well. Preheat an electric grill toaster. Apply some butter on one side of each bread slice. Spread some mac n cheese mixture on the unbuttered side of half bread slices and cover with remaining bread slices with unbuttered side downwards. Place these sandwiches in the preheated grill toaster, cover and grill till they are evenly golden on both sides and grill marks appear.
