Ingredients list for Matar ki Puri
- 1 cup Green peas crushed
- 1 1/2 cups Wheat flour
- 1/2 cup Refined flour
- 1 teaspoon Carom seeds
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
- for deep-frying Oil
Method
- Heat a kadai and saute the peas till the water evaporates.
- Add salt, red chilli powder and coriander powder. Mix well and remove from heat.
- In a bowl mix together wheat and refined flour, carom seeds add salt and little water to make a hard dough. Cover and set aside for fifteen minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls.
- Roll out each ball to a small disc and place a tablespoon of the peas mixture and gather the edges to make a ball and flatten it. Roll it lightly to make small puris.
- Heat oil in a kadai and deep fry the puris till golden and puffed. Drain and remove on absorbent paper and serve hot.
