Ingredients list for Mawa Modak - SK Khazana

  • 2 cups + 1 tablespoon Khoya / mawa
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Liquid glucose
  • 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 10-12 Saffron strands

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick pan, add mawa and sugar and mix well. Continue to cook, stirring continuously on a low heat, till sugar dissolves completely.
  2. Add liquid glucose, green cardamom powder and saffron, mix and cook, stirring continuously on low heat for 5-7 minutes or till thick.
  3. Transfer the mixture onto a plate and set aside to cool completely.
  4. Transfer a generous portion of mixture into a modak mould. Demould, arrange the modaks on a serving platter and serve.
