By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Sep 2018 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mutton mince, Canned cherries Cuisine Fusion Course Main Course Mutton Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Meatballs in Cherry Sauce-SK Khazana 1 cup Mutton mince 24-26 Canned cherries 2-3 tablespoons Cherry jam to taste Salt to taste Black peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon as required Fresh thyme leaves 1 tablespoon Mustard sauce 4 tablespoons Onion finely chopped 3/4 cup Dried breadcrumbs 3 tablespoons Oil Method Blend together mutton mince, salt, crushed peppercorns, 1 teaspoon thyme leaves, mustard sauce, half the onions and breadcrumbs to a smooth mixture. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into balls. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan, add meatballs and shallow-fry till well cooked and browned from all sides. Remove from pan and set aside. Add remaining onions in the same pan and sauté till translucent. Add canned cherries, cherry compote and few thyme leaves and mix well. Add salt and crushed peppercorns, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add some water, mix and cook till cherries turn soft and pulpy. Transfer the mixture into a bowl and blend with a hand blender. Pour it into another non-stick pan and heat. Add the fried meatballs and mix well till all of them are well coated with the sauce.
