Ingredients for Moong Dal Pizza Recipe

  • Split skinless green gram (dhuli moong dal) soaked overnight and drained 1 1/2 cups

  • Ginger chopped 1/2 inch

  • Green chillies chopped 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Baking powder 1 pinch

  • Oil for drizzling

  • Pizza sauce as required

  • Mixed capsicum dices as required

  • Sweetcorn kernels blanched as required

  • Onion dices as required

  • Mushrooms sliced as required

  • Jalapeno sliced as required

  • Mozzarella cheese grated as required

  • Red chilli flakes to garnish

  • Dried oregano to sprinkle


Step 1

Put split green grams in a blender jar, add ginger, green chillies, salt and sufficient water and blend to a smooth batter.

Step 2

Transfer the batter into a bowl, add a pinch of baking powder and mix well.

Step 3

Heat a non-stick pan, pour a ladle of batter and spread it evenly to a thick pancake. Drizzle a little oil all around and cook till the underside is a light golden. Flip the pancake and drizzle oil all around, apply some pizza sauce, add sprinkle some coloured capsicums, some sweetcorn kernels, some onion, some mushrooms and some jalapeno slices. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, cover and cook till the cheese melts. Make more pizzas similarly.

Step 4

Transfer each pizza onto a separate serving plate, garnish with red chilli flakes and dried oregano and serve hot.
