Ingredients for Mustard Paneer with Spinach and Sweet Potatoes Recipe

  • Cottage Cheese 250 grams

  • Mustard Paste 2 tablespoons

  • Spinach blanched 1 medium bunch

  • Sweet potatoes boiled and peeled 200 grams

  • Olive oil 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Crushed garlic 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Fried shredded spinach leaves for garnishing


Step 1

Cut cottage cheese into half inch thick slices.

Step 2

Put mustard paste in a bowl, add cottage cheese slices and mix till the cottage cheese pieces are well coated. Set aside to marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and garlic and sauté till lightly browned.

Step 4

Finely chop blanched spinach and add to the pan.

Step 5

Cut sweet potato into ¼ inch pieces and add to the pan. Add fresh cream, salt and crushed peppercorns and mix well. Add 2-3 tbsps water and mix well.

Step 6

Heat 2 tsps olive oil in a non-stick grill pan. Place marinated cottage cheese slices on it and grill till grill marks appear on them.

Step 7

Transfer the prepared spinach-sweet potato mixture onto a serving plate, top with the grilled cottage cheese slices, garnish with fried spinach leaves and serve immediately.
