By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Feb 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Digestive biscuits, Castor sugar (caster sugar) Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 31-40 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for New York Cheesecake 8-10 Digestive biscuits coarsely crushed 1 tablespoon Castor sugar (caster sugar) 85 grams Melted butter Filling 300 grams Cream cheese 250 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar) 3 tablespoons Refined flour (maida) a pinch Salt 1½ teaspoons Lemon juice 1½ teaspoons Vanilla essence Zest of 1 lemon 3 Eggs 1 Egg yolk 1½ cups Sour cream Method Preheat oven to 180º C. Take crushed biscuits in a bowl. Add castor sugar and butter, mix well. Line a loose bottom tin with this mixture, place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes to make the base. To make filling, beat cream cheese in a bowl with an electric beater till creamy. Add castor sugar, flour and salt and beat again. Add lemon juice, vanilla essence and lemon zest and beat. Add eggs and egg yolk and beat again. Add sour cream and mix till well combined. Pour this mixture over the baked base and tap lightly. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
