Ingredients for Oats Jaggery Cookies Recipe

  • Rolled oats 1 cup

  • Jaggery powder 3/4 cup

  • Whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) 1 cup

  • Baking powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cinnamon powder 3/4 teaspoon

  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon

  • Unsalted butter 1/2 cup

  • Milk 2-3 tablespoons

  • Cashewnuts , chopped 1/2 cup

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Step 2

Sift together whole wheat flour, baking powder, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder and salt into a bowl. Add rolled oats and mix well.

Step 3

Take butter in a mixing bowl, add jaggery powder and cream with an electric beater till mixture becomes creamy.

Step 4

Add milk and mix until combined. Add the flour mixture and fold in till everything combine well together. Add cashewnuts and mix well to form dough.

Step 5

Divide the dough into equal portions, shape them into balls and slightly flatten each. Place them on a baking tray.

Step 6

Place the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven allow to cool.

Step 7

Arrange on a serving plate and serve. Or store in an airtight container.
