Oats with dried fruits

There are many good things about oats: they are fast to cook, good to eat and a fantastic source of fibre. Since you’re adding the apricots and prunes, there’s no need to add sugar. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Oats with dried fruits

  • 85 gram Porridge oats
  • 600 ml Skimmed milk
  • 4-5 Whole almonds slivered
  • 20 gram Dried apricots chopped
  • 40 gram Prunes chopped

Method

  1. Put the oats in a pan and roast for 2 minutes.
  2. Add the milk and bring to the boil.
  3. Stir in the almonds and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the oat mixture becomes thick.
  4. Add the apricots and prunes, mix well, and serve hot.
