Ingredients list for Paan Chocolate Mousse

  • 1 cup Milk chocolate chopped
  • 4 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 2 tablespoons paan filling
  • 3 Egg yolks
  • ¼ cup Warm milk
  • 2 cups Whipped cream
  • to sprinkle Dark chocolate chips

Method

  1. Boil some water in a deep non-stick pan. Place a large glass bowl on top. Add castor sugar and egg yolks and whisk continuously till it achieves ribbon consistency. Remove from heat.
  2. Add milk and whisk well.
  3. Melt chocolate in a microwave proof bowl in the microwave oven for 30 seconds, add it to egg yolk mixture and whisk well. Add paan filling and mix well.
  4. Transfer ½ of egg yolk mixture into another bowl. Add whipped cream and fold in. Add remaining egg yolk mixture and fold in well.Pour into serving glasses and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. Fill a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle with whipped cream and pipe out rosettes on top of the mousse in each glass. Place some chocolate chips in the center and serve immediately.
