By Sanjeev Kapoor 23 Jul 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Paneer (cottage cheese), Cornmeal Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 500 grams paneer (cottage cheese), cut into 4-inch thick strips 1 cup cornmeal 3 tablespoons refined flour (maida) ¼ teaspoon paprika powder A pinch of baking soda ¼ teaspoon baking powder Salt to taste 1½ cups buttermilk Mustard sauce to serve Tomato ketchup to serve Method Put cornmeal in a jar, add refined flour, paprika, baking soda, baking powder and salt and mix well. Add buttermilk and mix well to form a thick batter. Insert a satay stick in the center of each cottage cheese strip. Heat sufficient oil in a wok. , Dip each cottage cheese strip in the batter and slide it into the hot oil. Deep-fry till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
