By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 May 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Pavs Cuisine Mumbai Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Pav Bhaji - SK Khazana 3/4 cup Potatoes boiled, peeled and grated 8 Pavs 2 tablespoon + to sprinkle Pav bhaji masala 2 tablespoons Oil 3 Medium onions finely chopped 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 3 Medium tomatoes finely chopped 1 tablespoon Tomato paste 1/4 cup Carrots boiled and mashed to taste Salt 1 Medium green capsicum finely chopped 1 tablespoon + as required Butter 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped a few Lemon wedges Method Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add half the onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Add tomatoes and mix well. Add tomato paste and mashed carrots, mix well and cook till tomatoes turn soft and pulpy. Add salt and 1 tablespoon pav bhaji masala, mix well and cook for 2 minutes. Add potatoes and mix well. Add a little water, mix well, cover and cook for 2 minutes. Add capsicum and mix well. Add some more water and remaining pav bhaji masala, mix well and simmer for a minute. Add butter and coriander leaves, mix well, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Slit the pavs horizontally, apply some butter and sprinkle some pav bhaji masala on them.
