Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Keep aside for 10 minutes. Wash them thoroughly and drain on absorbent paper. Transfer onto a plate. Add red chilli powder, tamarind paste and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the karela slices till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer on a serving plate, add salt and mix well. Serve hot.
