Ingredients for Pear Bread Pudding Recipe

  • Medium pears 2

  • Fruit buns 2

  • Vanilla custard powder 2 tablespoons

  • Milk 3 cups

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Raisins (kishmish) 2 tablespoons

  • Sugar 6 tablespoons


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Take vanilla custard powder in a bowl, add milk and mix till smooth. Pour into a deep non-stick pan and cook, stirring intermittently, till thick.

Step 3

Quarter pears, remove core and slice roughly.

Step 4

Heat butter in another non-stick pan, add pear slices and saute. Add raisins and 3 tbsps sugar and mix.

Step 5

Slice fruit buns and spread one layer in a baking dish.

Step 6

Add remaining sugar to the custard and mix.

Step 7

Put the sautéed pears over the bun layer in the dish. Place another layer of fruit bun slices.

Step 8

Pour the custard over and tap the dish lightly so that custard drizzles to the bottom of the dish.

Step 9

Serve warm.Keep the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Serve hot.
