Pecan Pie This delectable pecan pie can be served to your valentine instead of the usual chocolates. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Pecan nuts, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Fusion Course Desserts Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Pecan Pie 100 grams Pecan nuts 1 cup Refined flour (maida) Powdered sugar 1 cup + for dusting a pinch Salt 2 tablespoons Frozen Butter 2 Eggs 1/4 cup brown sugar/jaggery 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence 1 tablespoon Liquid glucose 1 tablespoon Corn syrup 1 tablespoon Melted butter Method Preheat oven at 200ÂșC. To make short crust pastry, mix refined flour and powdered sugar in a bowl. Add salt and butter. Mix well till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add required chilled water and knead into a soft dough. Keep in the refrigerator till chilled. Break eggs in another bowl, add brown sugar and vanilla essence and whisk well. Add liquid glucose with wet spoon and whisk again. Add corn syrup and mix well. Add melted butter and whisk again. Crush pecan nuts lightly reserving some for the garnishing and add to the mixture. Mix again. Set aside. Linea portion of the dough over the aluminum pie dish, press the edges and prick the top with fork. Place the dish on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Put the pecan nuts mixture over the half baked pie and bake again for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and cool to room temperature.
