This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Basmati rice, Tinned pineapple Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Pineapple Pulao 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked 3 slices Tinned pineapple 6 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar) 2 inch sticks Cinnamon 2-3 tablespoons Cashewnuts chopped 2 tablespoons Raisins soaked and drained 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence Method Heat a deep non stick pan, add castor sugar and cook stirring continuously till it caramelizes. Cut pineapple slices into medium cubes and add to the pan and mix. Add cinnamon and mix and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add cashewnuts and mix. Add raisins and mix. Drain and add rice and mix well. Add 3 cups water and mix. Add vanilla essence and mix. Cover and cook on high heat for 8-10 minutes. Check if the rice is done. If it is not completely cooked, sprinkle a little water and cook till it is completely done. Serve hot.
