By Sanjeev Kapoor 01 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Salt Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Piri Piri Pakoras 2-3 medium Potatoes with skin to taste Salt 1 cup Gram flour (besan) 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder ¼ teaspoon Turmeric powder ¼ teaspoon Baking soda for deep-frying Oil for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped Spice mix 1 teaspoon Onion powder 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder 1 teaspoon Paprika ½ teaspoon Dried oregano 1 tablespoon Stock cubes crushed a pinch Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes to taste Salt a pinch Powdered sugar Method Thinly slice potatoes into a bowl of water. Add salt, mix and set aside. Mix together gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and sufficient water to make a thick batter. Add baking soda and mix. To make the spice mix, take onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, crushed stock cube, cinnamon powder, chilli flakes, salt and powdered sugar in a bowl and mix well. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the potato slices, one by one, in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden. Drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle the prepared spice mix over them and mix lightly.
