Ingredients for Pita Chips With Tomato Chilli Hummus Recipe

  • Pita Breads 4

  • Sundried Tomatoes

  • Sundried tomatoes 8-10

  • Fresh red chillies 1-2

  • Chickpeas (kabuli chana) boiled 1 cup

  • Olive oil 9 tablespoons

  • Sesame paste 1/4 cup

  • Garlic cloves 1 large

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Peal chickpeas. Heat a non stick pan. Brush the pita breads with 2 tbsps olive oil and cut them into small triangles.

Step 2

Put them into the pan and grill on medium heat, turning sides, till golden and crisp on both sides.

Step 3

Crush garlic and put into a mixer jar. Add chickpeas, sesame paste, salt, sundried tomatoes, fresh red chillies, 4 tbsps olive oil and blend. Arrange pita triangles on a serving plate.

Step 4

Transfer the ground paste or hummus into a bowl, squeeze and add juice of ½ lemon and mix.

Step 5

Add 2 tbsps olive oil and mix.Place the hummus alongside the pita triangles, drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil and serve.
