Ingredients list for Potato Bravas Au Gratin-SK Khazana

  • 3-4 Potatoes parboiled, peeled and thickly sliced
  • 1 tablespo for greasing Butter
  • 1 tablespoon Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 cup + for drizzling Milk
  • 2 tablespo to sprinkle Processed cheese grated
  • to cook Salt
  • 1 Medium carrot blanched and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 Medium green capsicum cut into cubes
  • 1/2 Medium red capsicum cut into cubes
  • 1/2 Medium yellow capsicum cut into cubes
  • 1/2 Medium broccoli blanched and separated into small florets
  • to sprinkle Parmesan cheese grated
  • to sprinkle Dried mixed herbs

Method

  1. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add flour, mix well and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  2. Add ½ cup milk, mix and cook till the mixture thickens. Add ½ cup milk and mix well.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons cheese and mix well till it melts. Add salt and mix well. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Preheat oven to 180˚C. Grease a square aluminium baking tin with some butter.
  5. Arrange 6-7 potato slices in the greased tin. Top with some carrot, some green, red and yellow capsicum cubes and broccoli florets. Spread prepared cheese sauce on top, drizzle some milk.
  6. Arrange remaining potato slices, sprinkle some processed cheese, parmesan cheese and mixed herbs on top.
  7. Put the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or till the cheese melts.
  8. Cut into squares and serve hot.
