Pour plenty of water in a large bowl and sprinkle a little salt, soak the potatoes in it. Thinly slice the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, soak them in the salted water. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. , Drain the potato strips, spread them on a kitchen towel and pat dry. Drop in the potato strips into the hot oil and deep-fry till golden and crisp.
