Ingredients for Potato Tornado Recipe

  • Medium potatoes thoroughly washed 4

  • Paprika 1 teaspoon

  • Dried thyme 1 teaspoon

  • Dried oregano 1 teaspoon

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for drizzling


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Soak potatoes in water with a little salt. Drain and pat them dry.

Step 3

Vertically insert a skewer through the center of a potato. Use a knife to cut the potato into spirals.

Step 4

Take paprika in a large bowl, add thyme, oregano, crushed peppercorns, basil and salt mix well.

Step 5

Sprinkle the spice mixture on the potatoes and place the potatoes on a baking tray. Drizzle oil on top.

Step 6

Place the tray in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or till the potatoes are crisp.

Step 7

Remove them from the skewers and place on serving platter. Serve hot with mayonnaise.
