Ingredients list for Roasted Garlic Bread

  • 2 Garlic bulbs
  • 1 Baguette bread
  • 2 teaspoons Olive oil
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 1 pinch Paprika powder
  • a few sprigs Fresh curly parsley
  • 2-3 sprigs Fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 cup Butter softened

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Cut off a thin slice from the bottom side of 2 garlic bulbs, place them cut side upwards on a baking tray, drizzle 1 tsp olive oil on each bulb, sprinkle crushed black peppercorns and paprika powder. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, finely chop a few sprigs of parsley and rosemary leaves.
  4. Slice the baguette into thick slices without cutting through.
  5. Take butter in a bowl, add parsley, rosemary and crushed black peppercorns. Squeeze the pulp of the roasted garlic and add it to the butter and mix well.
  6. Apply the butter mixture between each slice of the baguette. Place it on the baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  7. Separate the slices and place on a serving platter and serve hot.
