Ingredients list for Rose And Orange Marmalade Cake

  • 6-7 tablespoons Rooh Afza
  • 4 tablespoons Orange marmalade
  • 2 cups Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 2 cups Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 5 Eggs
  • 4 tablespoons Tutti frutti
  • for dusting Icing sugar

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a cake tin.Sieve together maida and baking powder and keep aside in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together butter and sugar. Add vanilla essence, orange marmalade, 4 tbsps Rooh afza and mix lightly. Add eggs, one at a time, and whisk well.
  3. Add tutti fruity to maida. Add the egg mixture and mix well using cut and fold method.Pour the batter into the greased cake tin and spread evenly with a spatula.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes.Remove the cake from the oven and set aside to cool.
  5. Make small holes in it with a satay stick. Pour the remaining Rooh afza over.Demould the cake, place on a serving plate and sprinkle some icing sugar on it. Cut and serve.
