By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 Apr 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Full cream milk , Yogurt Cuisine Indian Course Mithais Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sandesh Modak 2 litres Full cream milk 2 tablespoons Yogurt 3/4 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1/2 cup Khoya/mawa grated 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 2 teaspoons Dried rose petals 8-10 Pistachios blanched, peeled and slivered Method Boil milk in non-stick pan. Add yogurt and mix well. Once the milk curdles, strain the mixture in a bowl through muslin cloth. Gather the edges and immediately refresh in chilled water to avoid carry over cooking Transfer the mixture in a parat, add sugar and mix well. Add khoya, green cardamom powder and mix again. Transfer this mixture in a non-stick pan and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add dried rose petals, pistachios and mix well and continue to cook for 2-3 minutes. Transfer the mixture on a plate and allow to cool. Transfer the mixture into modak moulds and press lightly.
