By Sanjeev Kapoor 27 Jul 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Custard apple (sitaphal), Rice Cuisine Punjabi Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 51-60 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sitaphal Kheerni 3 medium Custard apple (sitaphal) 4 tablespoons Rice soaked 5 cups Milk 14 measures Sugarfree Natura 2 tablespoons Rice soaked and ground 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 8-10 Pistachios blanched and sliced Method De-stone custard apple. Keep aside a little of the flesh and puree the rest. Heat milk in a pan. Add rice and cook stirring from time to time. Add Sugar Free Natura and continue to cook till the rice is almost done. Add ground rice and cook stirring continuously. Add green cardamom powder. When sufficiently thickened, take it off the heat and set it aside to cool a little. Add custard apple puree and mix well. Add the custard apple flesh and mix. Transfer into the earthenware bowls (sakoras) and garnish with pistachios. Chill and serve.
