Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.

Ingredients for Sweet Potato Chips - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Sweet potatoes washed 2 medium

  • Sendha namak to taste

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Take sufficient water in a large bowl, add sendha namak and mix well. Thinly slice sweet potatoes on a slicer and soak them in the slated water .

Step 2

Drain and place sweet potato slices on a muslin cloth and pat them dry. Set aside for 15-20 minutes.

Step 3

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry the slices till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 4

Transfer them into a serving bowl and serve.
