By Sanjeev Kapoor 21 Jul 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Ridge gourd (turai), Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Turai Ke Pakode 2 Ridge gourd (turai) for deep-frying Oil 2-3 tablespoons + 1 cup Gram flour (besan) 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Salt to sprinkle Chaat masala Method Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Cut ridge gourd into roundels. Combine gram flour, turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt and 3 tablespoons warm oil along with some water to make a smooth batter. Put ridge gourd roundels into the prepared batter and mix well. Deep-fry each roundel into hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain in absorbent paper.
