By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Dec 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients California walnuts, Whole California walnuts Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Walnut Nankhatai - SK Khazana 1/2 cup California walnuts coarsely crushed as required Whole California walnuts 1 1/2 cups Refined flour (maida) 3/4 cup Powdered sugar 1/2 cup Gram flour (besan) 1 teaspoon Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1 cup Desi ghee Method Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with a silicon mat. Take refined flour in a mixing bowl, add powdered sugar, gram flour, baking powder, baking soda, cardamom powder and crushed California Walnuts and mix well. Add ghee and mix till you get a breadcrumb consistency. Then knead with your hands into a semi soft dough. Divide the dough into equal portions, shape into balls and flatten lightly between your palms. Place them on the lined baking tray, place one California Walnut in the center of each nankhatai and press lightly. Keep the tray into the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven and cool down to room temperature.
