Walnut Phirni in Chocolate Cups Chocolate and walnuts make a great combination, and when walnut phirni is served in chocolate cups it is divine This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 17 Jul 2024 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Walnuts, Dark chocolate Cuisine Indian Course Mithais Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Walnut Phirni in Chocolate Cups 1/2 cup Walnuts 2 cups Dark chocolate , melted 1 litres Full fat milk 3 tablespoons Rice , soaked for 30 minutes and drained 3/4 cup Sugar 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder a few strands Saffron to garnish Chocolate cigars to garnish Fresh mint sprigs Method To prepare chocolate cups, fill silicon moulds till ¾ full with melted dark chocolate. Swirl to coat all sides and drain extra chocolate. Keep them in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes or till set. Put walnuts in a grinder jar and grind coarsely. Boil milk in a deep non-stick pan. Transfer walnuts into a bowl. Put drained rice in the same grind jar and grind coarsely. Add both rice and walnuts to the boiling milk and cook, stirring continuously till the rice gets cooked and the mixture thickens. Scrape the sides occasionally and mix well. Stir continuously so that no lumps are formed. Add sugar, green cardamom powder and saffron strands, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes on low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool down to room temperature. Demould chocolate cups from the silicon moulds and place on a serving platter. Fill up each chocolate cups with phirni.
