Bread Porichathu

If you have some stale bread slices don’t throw them. Here we have just the recipe that will give you great result. Cut each slice into two triangles are dip them in a refined flour batter and deep-fry till golden and crisp. These crisp bread fritters are not just easy to make but taste absolutely fantastic! Ingredients

  • 4 white bread slices, cut into triangles
  • 1½ cups refined flour
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Coffee for serving

Method

  1. Take refined flour in a bowl, add turmeric powder, black sesame seeds, sugar and salt and mix well.
  2. Add 1¼ cups water and whisk well to form a smooth batter.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the bread slices in the prepared batter and slide into hot oil.
  4. Deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot.
