By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Jul 2024 in Recipes Snack New Update Bread Porichathu Main ingredients White bread slices, Refined flour (maida), Turmeric powder, Black sesame seeds (kali til), Sugar, Salt, Oil Cuisine Kerala Course Snack Prep time 5 minutes Cook time 10-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Vegetarian Ingredients 4 white bread slices, cut into triangles 1½ cups refined flour ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder 2 teaspoons black sesame seeds ½ teaspoon sugar Salt to taste Oil for deep frying Coffee for serving Method Take refined flour in a bowl, add turmeric powder, black sesame seeds, sugar and salt and mix well. Add 1¼ cups water and whisk well to form a smooth batter. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip the bread slices in the prepared batter and slide into hot oil. Deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
