Hazelnut Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

  • ½ cup hazelnut flour
  • ½ cup chopped hazelnuts
  • ½ cup roughly chopped milk chocolate
  • 1½ cups refined flour (maida) 
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup castor sugar
  • 1½ cups butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • ¼ cup milk

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  2. Sift refined flour into a large bowl. Add baking powder and baking soda and mix well.
  3. Take brown sugar, castor sugar and butter in a large bowl and beat it with an electric beater till the mixture turns light and fluffy. 
  4. Break the egg into the bowl and continue to beat till well combined. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  5. Add hazelnut powder, chopped hazelnuts and milk chocolate and mix well. Add the sifted flour mixture and gently fold in till a dough is formed. Add milk and mix well. 
  6. Take small portions of the mixture and roll it into a ball and press it lightly. Arrange them on a baking tray lined with silicon sheet. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. 
  7. Bring the tray out of the oven and allow to cool.
  8. Arrange on a serving plate and serve.
