  1. Put the sago in a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
  2. Transfer into a bowl, add potatoes, peanuts, ginger-green chilli paste, cumin seeds, salt, and lemon juice and mix well. Add 1 cup water and mix well.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into balls.
  4. Flatten each ball and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Arrange the vadas on a serving plate and serve hot with coconut chutney.
