Masala Rawa Puri Whenever you want to eat something crisp, spicy and tasty just follow this recipe and you will not stop at one. What is more it is so easy to make that you will want to make it often. It goes well with cups of hot tea. By Sanjeev Kapoor 26 Mar 2024 in Recipes Snack New Update Masala Rawa Puri Main ingredients Fine semolina, Ginger-green chilli paste, Red chilli powder, Oil Cuisine Indian Course Snack Prep time 20-25 minutes Cook time 5-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Savoury Level of cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup fine semolina (barik rawa) 2 tsps ginger-green chilli paste 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder ½ tsp cumin powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder Salt to taste Oil for greasing + for deep frying Chai to serve Method Put the semolina in a mixer jar and grind to a fine powder. Transfer into a large bowl. Add ginger-green chilli paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well. Add ½ cup water and knead to a soft dough. Cover with a damp muslin cloth an set aside for 10-15 minutes. Grease the worktop with some oil. To make puris, take a small portion of the dough and shape it into a ball. Place it on the greased worktop and flatten it slightly. Roll it into a small thin disc. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Gently slide in the discs one at a time into the hot oil and deep fry till they turn crisp and puff up. Drain on an absorbent paper.
