Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Aloo Bhujia Tikki Recipe

  • Aloo bhujia (sev) as required

  • Medium potatoes boiled, peeld and mashed 4

  • Cornflour 2 tablespoons

  • Green chillies chopped 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Ginger chopped 1/2 inch

  • Cornflour slurry as required

  • Oil to deep fry

  • Green chutney to serve


Step 1

In a bowl, add potatoes, ½ cup aloo bhujia sev, cornflour, green chillies, salt and ginger and mix well.

Step 2

Spread some aloo bhujia sev on a plate.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into tikkis. Dip in cornflour slurry and roll in aloo bhujia sev.

Step 4

Heat oil in a kadai, slide in the tikkis and and deep-fry till crisp and golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with green chutney.
