Ingredients list for Aloo Puri

  • 3 Medium potatoes boiled, peeled and grated
  • 3/4 cup Whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup Refined flour
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
  • 1 tablespo to deep fry Oil
  • to serve Sabzi

Method

  1. Take the potatoes in a parat, add salt, carom seeds, whole wheat flour and refined flour and mix well. Add 1 tbsp oil and knead into semi soft dough. Rest the dough for 5 minutes.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions, shape them into balls. Apply a little oil on the work top, place each dough ball on it and roll it into puris.
  4. Gently slide in the puris, one at a time, and deep-fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  5. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve hot with a subzi of your choice.
