Ingredients for Apple Cinnamon Toast, SK Khazana Recipe

  • Medium green apple 1

  • Medium red apple 1

  • Cinnamon powder 1 tablespoon

  • Whole bread loaf 1

  • Cream cheese as required

  • Castor sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Butter as required

  • Vanilla ice cream For topping

  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Cut bread loaf into thick slices. Slit in the centre of each slice in a square shape and press to make a slight dent.

Step 3

Spread some cream cheese in the well and insert green and red apple slices, skin side upwards, alternately over it. Arrange the bread slices on a baking tray.

Step 4

Sift together castor sugar and cinnamon powder on top of each bread slice. Spread some butter on the edges of each slice and drop a dollop in the centre.

Step 5

Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.

Step 6

Top with scoops of vanilla ice cream, garnish with mint sprigs and serve immediately.
