Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Baked Aamrakhand Recipe

  • Yogurt beaten 200 grams

  • Ripe Mango Puree 100 grams

  • Ripe mango diced 1

  • Fresh cream 100 grams

  • A few mango slices for garnishing

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180º C.

Step 2

Mix together yogurt and condensed milk in a bowl. Add mango puree and mango pieces and continue to mix. Add cream and mix well.

Step 3

Pour aamrakhand into 4 ramekin moulds and the remaining in a baking dish. Place all of them in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.

Step 4

Take them out of the oven and cool down to room temperature. Refrigerate for a couple of hours.

Step 5

Serve chilled garnished with mango slices.
