Ingredients
- 3 medium raw Kerala bananas
- Oil to deep fry
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
Method
- Trim the ends of the raw bananas, peel and slice off ½ inch from top of the bananas.
- Take salt and turmeric powder in a bowl, add ½ cup water and mix.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Use a mandolin slicer to slice bananas into thin chips directly into the hot oil.
- Add a spoonful of the salted turmeric water into the kadai. Fry the chips for 2 -3 minutes or till they are crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and let them cool down to room temperature.
- Serve or store in an air-tight container.
