Favourite seafood? Prawns, prawns and more of prawns. A wide variety of small crustaceans, tiny relatives of the lobster, are known as prawns. Prawns are normally translucent when raw but get their distinctive pink or red colour on being cooked. one word of caution – if buying unpeeled prawns, smell for freshness and look for bright, shiny shells that have some spring left in them.

Ingredients for Bang Bang Prawns - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Medium prawns shelled and deveined 150 grams

  • Oil for greasing

  • Panko breadcrumbs 1 1/2 cups

  • Onion powder 1/4 cup

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Olive oil 3/4 cup

  • Refined flour (maida) for dusting

  • Eggs beaten 2

  • Mkayonnaise 1/4 cup

  • Sriracha sauce 1 tablespoon

  • Sweet chilli sauce 3 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Honey 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray with some oil.

Step 2

Mix together panko breadcrumbs, onion powder, crushed peppercorns, salt and olive oil in a bowl.

Step 3

Dust prawns with some flour, dip in beaten eggs and coat with the breadcrumbs mixture. Place them on the greased tray.

Step 4

Put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.

Step 5

Mix together mayonnaise, Sriracha sauce, chilli sauce, lemon juice, honey, salt and crushed peppercorns in another bowl.

Step 6

Drizzle this sauce over the prawns, garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
