Ingredients for Blueberry Hearty Pies - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Blueberry jam 4 tablespoons

  • Fresh blueberries to garnish

  • Refined flour 250 grams

  • Castor sugar 50 grams

  • Green cardamom powder a pinch

  • Butter 100 grams

  • Milk 4 teaspoons

  • Egg 1


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray.

Step 2

Take refined flour in a bowl, add castor sugar and cardamom powder and mix. Add butter and rub between finger tips till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Step 3

Add milk and mix with your hand to make a dough.

Step 4

Dust flour on worktop, transfer the dough on it and roll into a not too thin square.

Step 5

Keep a heart shaped cookie cutter on it and cut out 10 equal pies.

Step 6

Keep a blob of blueberry jam on half the pies and cover with the remaining pies to make sandwiches.

Step 7

Pinch the edges of each pie with a fork to seal them.

Step 8

Break an egg into a small bowl and whisk lightly.

Step 9

Sprinkle some dry flour on the baking tray, keep the pies on it and brush them with egg. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Step 10

Arrange them on a serving plate, dust some icing sugar over them and decorate with fresh blueberries. Serve.
