Ingredients for Borscht-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Boneless mutton cut into small pieces 500 grams

  • Medium potato peeled and cut into cubes 1

  • Carrot grated 1/2 cup

  • Medium beetroot peeled and grated 1

  • Cabbage shredded 2 tablespoons

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Large onion chopped 1

  • Garlic 4-5

  • Tomato puree 1/2 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh parsley sprig q for garnish

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent.

Step 2

Add garlic and mix. Add mutton pieces and mix. Add tomato puree, stir to mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3

Add salt and crushed peppercorns and mix. Add sufficient water, mix and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Add potato, carrot, beetroot, cabbage and lemon juice, mix well, cover and cook till mutton and vegetables are fully done.

Step 5

Garnish with parsley sprig and serve hot.
