Ingredients list for Bread Tikki With Sesame Seeds

  • 4 slices Bread Slices halved
  • 2 tablespoons Potatoes
  • 2-3 medium Potato peeled and crushed
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Green chilli finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves
  • to shallow fry Oil

Method

  1. Mix together potatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, green chilli and coriander leaves, adding water if necessary, to a smooth paste.
  2. Apply the paste on both sides of a bread slice.
  3. Roll the bread slice in sesame seeds pressing lightly, so that the seeds stick to the bread slice.
  4. Prepare the other bread slices in the same way.
  5. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan and shallow fry the bread slices one by one on medium heat.
  6. Turn over to cook evenly. Drain on absorbent paper.
  7. Serve hot a sauce of your choice.
