Ingredients list for Brown Bread Pudding
- 8 slices Brown Bread
- 4 medium Brown Sugar peeled, pitted and diced
- 3/4 cups Brown sugar
- 3 Eggs
- 1 cup Skimmed milk
- 1/2 cup Fresh cherries pitted and halved
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Cook the diced peaches with half the brown sugar in one cup of water. Lightly toast brown bread slices and cut into triangles.
- Break eggs into a bowl and beat slightly. Add remaining brown sugar and milk and mix. Once the peaches turn soft, blend with a hand blender.
- Arrange the toast triangles in a baking dish. Arrange half of the prepared cherries over them. Add the egg mixture to the fruit puree and mix well.
- Pour over the bread in the baking dish. Arrange the remaining cherries on top and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C for thirty minutes. Serve warm.
