Ingredients list for Brun Pav - SK Khazana

  • 4 cups Refined flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Castor sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Activated yeast
  • 2 tablespo for greasing Oil
  • to serve Butter
  • to serve Masala tea

Method

  1. Sieve refined flour into a bowl. Add salt and castor sugar and mix well.
  2. Make a well in the middle, add activated yeast and mix well. Add sufficient water and knead into soft dough. Add oil and knead again till smooth. Cover with a damp cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Dust flour on the worktop and place the prepared dough on it. Knock back the dough and divide into 6 equal portions. Grease your hands with a little oil and shape each portion into a ball. Place them on a greased baking tray and cover with a damp muslin cloth. Set aside to prove for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 180º C.
  5. Gently remove the muslin cloth and spray water over the dough balls. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Serve with butter and masala tea.
