By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Medium onions, Processed cheese Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Caramelized Onion and Cheese Tart 2 Medium onions sliced as required Processed cheese grated 4 White bread slices edges trimmed, cut into 4 squares each and toasted 1 tablespoon Butter to taste Salt 1 teaspoon Sugar 2 tablespoons Pinenuts toasted to taste Black peppercorns cruhsed to garnish Fresh parsley Method Preheat oven to 180˚ C. Heat butter in a non-stick pan, add onions and salt, mix and sauté till translucent. Add sugar and sauté till onion caramelises. Add pine nuts and crushed black peppercorns and mix well. Place toasted bread squares on a baking tray, spread some caramelised onion mixture on them and top with some cheese. Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Garnish each tart with some parsley.
