Ingredients list for Cheese Potato Masala Sandwich

  • 8 tablespoons Processed cheese grated
  • 4 Medium potatoes boiled, peeled and sliced into roundels
  • 4 White bread slices
  • 4 Brown bread slices
  • 12 teaspoo Soft butter
  • 8 teaspoons Green chutney
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoons Bombay sandwich masala
  • 1/2 cup + to garnish Mixed capsicums cut into thin strips
  • 2 Medium onions peeled and cut into roundels
  • to serve Potato wafers
  • to garnish Carrot flower
  • to garnish Carrot grated
  • to garnish Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Preheat a sandwich griller.
  2. For one sandwich, apply 1 tsp butter on one side of a bread slice and 2 tsp green chutney. Layer 4-5 potato slices and sprinkle salt and some Bombay sandwich masala over them.
  3. Layer some strips of mixed capsicums, some halved onion slices and sprinkle some grated cheese.
  4. Apply 1 tsp butter on another white bread slice and place it buttered side down on top of the first slice. Apply 1 tsp butter on top.
  5. Repeat the same procedure for remaining white and brown bread slices.
  6. Brush some butter on the sandwich griller, place 2 sandwiches on it, close it and grill for 5 minutes or till brown grill marks appear on both sides of sandwich.
  7. Cut each sandwich into 4 triangles and arrange them on a serving platter. Garnish each triangle with a cherry strung on a toothpick. Keep a carrot flower one side, sprinkle some grated carrot over the sandwiches and some mixed capsicum strips and serve them immediately with potato wafers and tomato ketchup.
