It is an inexpensive, versatile and nourishing food. We have our very own Indian version as well as the ones made from soy milk that are even healthier. Whichever form, this is one food that is loved by one and all!

Ingredients for Cheesy Dum Aloo Recipe

  • Processed Cheese grated 1/2 cup

  • Baby Potatoes parboiled and halved without peeling 36

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli flakes 2 teaspoons

  • Garlic,roughly chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Olive oil 4 tablespoons

  • Fresh rosemary 3-4 sprigs

  • Peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place the potatoes in a bowl. Add salt, red chilli flakes, garlic, olive oil and mix.

Step 2

Add rosemary and crushed peppercorns and mix. Transfer into a baking dish and cook in the preheated oven for about twenty minutes.

Step 3

Take the dish out of the oven, sprinkle the grated cheese over and put it back in the oven till the cheese melts and becomes a light golden.

Step 4

Alternatively you can use a brulee torch to melt the cheese. Serve hot.
